A close-up of the flowerhead of a TX native perennial, Antelope Horn. A member of the milkweed family, it is a primary food source for both monarch and queen caterpillars. Its name is derived from the long seed pods that form after flowering that resemble the horns of an antelope.
Have a happy Friday, BP'er's!
